Receptions

There will be a lunch Monday at noon, and there will be receptions Monday evening and Tuesday evening. See Receptions.

Short Course

A short course, The Science of Ash Utilization, will be offered, for an additional fee on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Air Travel into Lexington

We are happy to report that the recent addition of a discount air carrier at Lexington has had the effect, generally, of reducing airfares into Lexington. We do suggest that you make reservations early, however, as usually that will secure the lowest fares.

Two Major Changes

  • The Symposium will be organized into 4 concurrent sessions instead of two, as in the past
  • The Symposium will adjourn at noon on Wednesday, October 22

Proceedings volume

It will be a CD-ROM. It will not be available until January, 2004. There will be no book version.

Special issue of the journal Fuel

The Elsevier Ltd. journal Fuel will devote an issue to selected manuscripts from the 2003 IAUS. Fuel is an international academic refereed journal published by Elsevier Ltd. in the United Kingdom. For more information about this special issue, see Fuel Manuscript Information.

Language

The language of the Symposium is English. Translation service for attendees is not available.

Registration/Check-in

Registration/Check-in will begin Sunday evening from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. It will continue throughout the Symposium.

Abstract booklet

An abstract booklet will be given to each attendee.

Photocopies

Photocopies of individual papers can be purchased at the Symposium for US$5.00 each.
