WelcomeOctober 20-22, 2003 Lexington Center's Heritage Hall
/ Hyatt Regency Lexington Lexington, Kentucky, USA
The 2003 International Ash Utilization Symposium was organized by the
University of Kentucky Center for Applied
Energy Research, the U. S. Department
of Energy National Energy Technology Laboratory, and the journal Fuel.
It was implemented and managed by the staff of the University of Kentucky
Center for Applied Energy Research.
It provided a forum for the transfer of information and new ideas to
benefit the innovative utilization, handling, storage and disposal of
CCBs.
Attendees gathered from around the world and from many walks of life,
such as academia, industry, and government.
This year, for the first time, we offered, for an additional fee, a short
course entitled The Science of Ash
Utilization.
This symposium, like the ones before it in this series, was intended
to complement the efforts of other organizations with similar interests,
such as the American Coal Ash Association.
